The tobacco beetle (Lasioderma serricorne) is a worldwide pest affecting leaf tobacco and its manufactured products, as well as dried fruits, peanuts, cocoa, corn, wheat, and spices. With the pheromone traps from BORGWALDT, marketed by IOTO INTERNATIONAL, precise information can be obtained to combat this pest. The Contrap® serves as a monitoring system for beetles.

As a pest control tool, we are the only company licensed in Brazil to commercialize the consolidated brand Contrap – Bogwaldt. Each trap has a pheromone capsule with an adhesive foil for counting and checking the presence of pests. They are sold in boxes of 100 units and are mandatory for any tobacco export to ensure the quality and the phytosanitary control of the tobacco products.
